21st Century Classroom

21st Classroom

IPERC sponsors research and development that use technology comprehensively to develop proficiency in 21st century skills, to support innovative teaching and learning, and to create robust education support systems. In particular, our education projects aim to transform standards and assessments, curriculum and instruction, professional development, learning environments, and administration.

Our current main emphasis is to develop and integrate education innovations that will transform (flip) the traditional classroom to create effective education settings for learning that are flexible, learner centered, inquiry oriented, and project engaged. Current development include technology and pedagogical methods to support active classroom engagement, web based interactive learning, game learning, and formative assessment. Examples of the projects are listed below.
