Beijing Jiaotong University
Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is one of the oldest universities and a top 35 university in China. BTJU aims to integrate high-quality academic and education resources, keep up with innovation, and design specialized and high-quality courses for its over 15,000 undergraduate students and 11,000 master’s students. The main campus is located in the Haidian District, in central Beijing, while its prestigious international campus is located in Tangshan, only an hour away by high-speed train. High-speed trains run frequently, with trains leaving every 30 minutes between Tangshan and Beijing. BJTU College of International Education has over 1,000 international students and focuses on helping students to develop an international perspective and to prepare for study abroad at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Their curriculum is recognized by more than 100 well-known overseas universities. BJTU was approved as a 1818ACCP Center in April of 2020 and will be able to host up to 500 students in fall, 2020.
TANGSHAN INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS
Tangshan Campus of BJTU College of International Education is an independent campus covering an area of 371 acres and is located in the heart of Tangshan, Hebei Province. The campus can accommodate about 10,000 students, including more than 1,000 international students. BJTU College of International Education helps students to develop an international perspective and to prepare for study abroad in world-famous universities at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. CAMPUS ENVIRONMENT
In 2019, the government spent 900 million Yuan to renovate the campus, which is equipped with an Administration Building, Teaching Building, Yifu Library, a Student Life and Service Center, and dormitories with first-class facilities. Additionally, the newly decorated classrooms, multifunctional discussion rooms, auditorium, and audio-visual teaching facilities are all readily available.
TRANSPORTATION
The Tangshan international campus is covered by a comprehensive public transportation network. It is also only 5 minutes away from the local train station. Each hour, a high-speed train stops at the Tangshan train station, allowing students to easily travel to and from Beijing in less than 1 hour.
ON-CAMPUS LIVING
The Tangshan international campus of Beijing Jiaotong University has 8 newly built student residential buildings.
Each student will have a bed, an independent study desk, and their own wardrobe. All dormitories are also equipped with a personal bathroom, air conditioning, and a refrigerator.
Apartments are also available and come equipped with activity rooms, a washing machine, hairdryer sockets, electric stove, mirrors, etc.
All student apartments and dormitories are very safe and have special personnel that monitors these areas 24 hours a day. Studnet safety is very important and helps to lay the foundation for a positive study abroad experience.
