ADVANCED COLLEGE CREDIT PATHWAY
The ACCP (Advanced College Credit Pathway) is a pathway program that allows senior high school or first-year college international students to earn one year of US general education college credits at their home institution and then transfer to an ACCP Partner University as Sophomore students.
ACCP ADVANTAGES FOR INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS
IPERC is currently accepting applications for international high schools interested in becoming part of the ACCP program. This valuable program streamlines the application process for studying in western universities and enriches the curriculum of your school. Your students will take college-level general education courses at your institution and transfer these credits to a world-renowned top university where they will enroll as a sophomore student.
STRONGER STUDENTS
All ACCP courses are designed to prepare students for study in a western university setting. Students who complete the ACCP program will have the academic English proficiency and soft skills needed to be successful in college.
TEACHER DEVELOPMENT
Qualified teachers from partner high schools will be recognized as adjunct professors and ACCP faculty. All ACCP course instructors receive training and support from the ACCP. Instructors are also invited to attend development workshops to improve their skills and to ensure the high quality of the program.
21st CENTURY SKILLS
The ACCP program focuses on preparing students for success in a university setting instead of teaching to standardized tests. Students develop their academic English proficiency and soft skills through in-class participation, group discussions, presentations, etc.
STREAMLINED APPLICATION
ACCP students are automatically accepted to ACCP Partner Universities as Sophomores upon successful completion of the program. SAT, ACT, TOEFL scores, essays, or letters of recommendation may be waived in special circumstances.
HIGHER RANKING
ACCP membership helps to improve your school's ranking and quality of students. The ability to offer college-level courses and guaranteed college acceptance without standardized testing will give your school a competitive edge.
STANDARD CURRICULUM
Often times, curriculums vary from school to school, making it difficult for universities to accurately evaluate students. The ACCP curriculum standards and guidelines are set by ACCP Partner Universities and are the same program-wide, ensuring students are evaluated on more than just their GPA.
ACCP TIMELINE
Rising seniors who meet the GPA and English requirements are admitted into the ACCP program.
Students take two semesters of ACCP courses at their home institution, in addition to EAP English.
During the spring semester, students begin applying to their ACCP Partner University of choice.
